SMS templates for guardians
Short, clear, and the institution's name at the end — that is how a guardian's SMS reads best. Copy the templates below and change them as you like; each guardian's own details go where the brackets are.

How many characters make one SMS
- English or Banglish: 160 characters make 1; longer, 1 per 153
- Bangla: 70 characters make 1; longer, 1 per 67
- One Bangla letter or emoji makes the whole message count as Bangla
So the same words in Banglish take about two and a half times fewer SMS. Each SMS is ৳0.42 in BDEducationManager.

- Whom it is for at the start, and who sent it at the end — the short name
- One thing to an SMS
- Dates and amounts written clearly
- No emoji — one alone makes it count as Bangla
- Only to your own students' guardians, and only the institution's news
SMS in the software

Questions
Can guardians read SMS in Bangla?
Nearly every newer phone shows Bangla; some very old ones do not. That is why many institutions send Banglish — it costs less too.
Is an SMS that fails charged?
