Daily attendance
A whole section in a click
Choose the section, press “Everyone present”, untick who did not come, and save. Today's and yesterday's can be changed.
No absence to write down
Whoever did not come is absent — nothing to write for them. So taking attendance is quick.
Late, and left early
Present, late or absent; and “left early” with them. At the top, how many are in each at a glance.
Search and filter
By class, section and status; by typing a name or a roll.
Who may take it
Taking attendance is a permission of its own — the office, the administration, or whoever you give it to. Teachers can read the list.
On a phone too
All of it runs in a phone's browser — nothing to install.
History, and an SMS to guardians
A click on a student's name in the list opens their attendance history. And an SMS to the guardians of those who did not come — when you send it.
- This month and last day by day; earlier months summed; each year's totals and the attendance rate
- Holidays leave themselves out — on a day nobody of the section has attendance, nobody is counted absent

Attendance from a machine — new
A student touches their card to the machine at the gate; the machine sends it to the software with the time, by itself — keeping it to send later when the internet is down. This is new: on the day your first machine is fitted we set it up with you. Teachers' and staff attendance by fingerprint is not here yet; it is on the way.
Card set-up
Type the card's number or touch it to a USB reader, find the student, select and save. A whole section's cards can be set at once too.
Test mode
The first time, put the machine in test mode and punch a card — see whose name comes up. Nothing punched in a test counts as attendance.
Times class by class
Class start, the minutes after it that are late, and closing time — each class can have its own. Late and “left early” are worked out by themselves.
Out at tiffin and back
Going out at tiffin and coming back is not “left early”. Not back in time, it is.
Several gates
One machine at the gate in, another at the gate out — or both at one machine. The attendance from all of them comes together.

Questions
Can we take attendance without a machine?
Yes. Attendance by hand needs no machine — a phone or a computer does. With a machine fitted, it can still be put right by hand.
Does the attendance SMS go by itself?
No. The lists of who is absent or late are ready; you look, tick and send. No SMS goes out on a holiday or by mistake.
Will everyone show as absent on a holiday?
Not in the history or the SMS lists — a day on which nobody of a section has attendance is not counted as a class day for that section.
Which machine do we need?
Up to 1,000 students a ZKTeco K40; above that a ZKTeco SenseFP M2. Students touch a card. Order one and we call you with the price.
Can teachers' attendance be taken too?
Not yet. Teachers' and staff attendance by fingerprint is on the way. A teacher's leave can be kept now.
How long is old attendance kept?
Day-by-day attendance is kept two months; after that each student's sums for the month stay — class days, present, late, absent.
