What a transfer certificate holds
A student joining another institution needs a transfer certificate (TC) from the last one. It says who the student is, when they joined and left, and whether anything is owed to the institution.

What a TC usually says
- A reference number and the date
- The student's name and parents' names
- The student's ID and date of birth
- The dates of joining and leaving
- The last class and section, roll and academic year
- The address and the reason for leaving
- Conduct
- That nothing is owed to the institution
- The head's signature and seal
TC, attestation and testimonial
Transfer certificate (TC)
On leaving — for joining another institution.
Attestation
That the student studies or studied here — for a scholarship, a passport or other needs.
Testimonial
After a public exam — stating the result and conduct.
Why keep a register
- Each certificate its own number — never one number twice
- Who got which certificate and when can be found later
- A certificate fee matches its receipt
TCs in the software
In BDEducationManager, choose the student and the details are filled in — a numbered TC, attestation, testimonial or merit certificate. You set each one's fee; a fee gets a receipt, and every certificate is in the register.
Questions
Is a TC given while fees are owed?
A TC says that nothing is owed — so it is usually given once dues are settled. The software shows the student's dues alongside.
Can the TC's wording be changed?
Your name, address, logo and the head's signature go on by themselves; you write the reason for leaving and the conduct for each student.
